Steve's New CD: Revolution of Love
Did you know that Steven writes poetry?
For many guys it may be hard to admit that they like to write poetry. There is a fear of being too "in touch" with their feelings. For Steven, poetry is more of a matter of neccessity. There have been many times in Steven's life that have been difficult to endure. In those moments, poetry becomes a way to express what's happening inside. Click 'more' to read some of his poems.

Workshop Topics

As much as Steven loves to lead worship, he loves to develop and invest in the lives of other people just as much. His unique perspective comes from serving both as an Audio/Video Systems Director for a church of over 8,000 people and as a worship leader. His presence on both sides of the microphone give him the ability to understand and build bridges between people who are often competing against ideas. Through the development of his own team of fellow technicians, engineers, and musicians, he has come across several key insights that may be a benefit to your team as well. Instead of just scheduling yet another worship leader who will come and lead a few songs, it is Steven's desire that you will consider allowing him to invest a little deeper into your team.

Creating a Cohesive Team
(1 Hour: Targeted Towards Staff & Volunteers)
For many of us, we deal with the eternal struggle that appears when two or more humans are gathered in one place. This struggle is part of life when you bring multiple uniquely created beings, with different backgrounds and goals, together in one place. Whether your music team struggles to understand the tech team, or your volunteers have a hard time fitting into the vision your ministry is trying to fulfill, then this talk is designed to give you a fresh perspective. This talk will take a look at some practical and very tangible ideas that you can implement with your own team. We will focus on creating a healthy culture among your teams by identifying the importance of history, language, influences, communication, and other important ideas that promote a Godly team.

The Anatomy of Worship
(1 Hour: Targeted Towards Staff & Volunteers)
No matter the size of your church, there are things that compete for the attention of God. Some churches have expensive technologies that can step in the way, for others it is the pride and prestige of being on stage or in control, still for others it’s broken relationships. What does it mean to be a worship leader? How can you be a worship leader if you are playing an instrument or running sound? This talk is designed to give your team practical applications to enter into the service with a worshipful attitude. For all team members it is critical to live in such a way that corporate worship is an extension of your private worship. Living this way ensures that you will be a conduit instead of a collector for worship.
